I've spent the last several days grinding through the week two seasonal challenges in Destiny 2's Season of the Seraph, and the entire board feels like a telescope aimed at a very specific constellation of chores: clear Heist Battlegrounds, focus an Umbral Engram, and calibrate mid-range weapons until your trigger finger goes numb. I'll break down every challenge, the rewards I earned, and the tricks that kept me from losing my mind.

More Than a Weapon II

This challenge is the seasonal questline itself. I picked it up immediately after the introductory mission. Returning to the Exo Frame at the H.E.L.M. felt like dialing an old operator on a vintage switchboard—every weekly reset connects another line in Rasputin's ongoing restoration. The quest asks you to run Heist Battlegrounds and open Seraph Chests. Knock out the second step of the objectives, and this challenge completes itself.

Heist Battlegrounds II

Deathtongue Choristers are the alarm clocks of the Hive; if you don't smash the snooze button, your abilities get silenced. These Hive Acolytes glow white and spawn near Hive totems, trying to trigger them. Mara Sov or Ana Bray usually calls them out. I used a linear fusion rifle or a sword to burst them down. You need to finish ten Heist Battlegrounds and kill five Choristers. The good news: killing a Chorister at any point counts, even if the alarm has already gone off.

Fire in the Void

This one asks for 150 combatant kills in Heist Battlegrounds using Void or Solar damage. I leaned on a Void weapon while running a Solar subclass built for Ignites. Hunters can use Caliban's Hand, Titans can build around Consecration, and Warlocks can use Starfire Protocol with Touch of Flame and Ember of Ashes. The damage can come from weapons, abilities, or perks, so I let the battlefield turn into a refrigerator full of glowing, exploding leftovers.

Umbral Focusing I

Focusing any Season of the Seraph engram at the Exo Frame counts. I was relieved to find that I didn't need any Exo Frame upgrades for the basic completion. With an Umbral Engram in hand, I spoke to the Exo Frame and selected a focusing option on the second page. If you want specific weapon focusing, you will need the associated Exo Frame upgrades.

Cosmodrome Activities

Cosmodrome bounties are like training wheels bolted onto a monster truck—they are easy, but the kill counters still stack quickly. I purchased bounties from Shaw Han and farmed Lost Sectors. The bounties are tailored for newer players, so they mostly ask for elemental kills or public event completions. This challenge finished in about an hour.

Lost in the Legend

Each day, one Lost Sector gets Legend and Master difficulty flags. I found the banner just outside the Lost Sector. If the flag wasn't there, I had to clear the normal version in patrol first. I chose Legend over Master because the modifiers are more forgiving. A strong build is still recommended.

Mid-Range Calibration

This challenge requires 200 kills in the Cosmodrome with Hand Cannons, Glaives, Auto Rifles, Fusion Rifles, or Machine Guns. I used a Glaive because melee kills count and don't consume ammo, then swapped to a Machine Gun for Lost Sector bosses. Those bosses felt like piñatas stuffed with progress. You don't need to run Legend or Master Lost Sectors for this one.

Bank, Kill, Repeat

Gambit points come from banking Motes, defeating Blockers, and killing Guardians. Blockers were my safest bet. I kept my eyes on the bank and killed blockers as soon as they appeared. Guardian kills give a large chunk of points, but blockers are more reliable if you're not an invasion specialist.

Freezing Void

This challenge asks for 80 Guardian defeats. Any PvP playlist works. If I didn't want to suffer through Control, I waited for Momentum Control, Team Scorched, or Mayhem in the rotating playlist. For the impatient, Quickplay and Crucible Labs are always available.

The Fallen Fall

Fallen enemies in strikes are like dandelions in an unkempt yard—plentiful, but you still need to pluck 200 of them. I queued for The Devils' Lair and Fallen S.A.B.E.R. on the Cosmodrome. These strikes are full of Fallen and their bosses grant bonus progress. A couple of runs finished the challenge.

Overall, week two of Season of the Seraph felt like a dense but manageable checklist. A little planning went a long way, especially with the right weapons and subclasses.
